Modern Barbers Watford

Barbering is all I have ever known. From the age of 18 straight out of school, I worked in a well-established chain of shops where I gained my experience in the industry. It was from this point in 2018, that I wanted to start a project of my own.

Within three years, based on my house number in Watford… Studio120 has begun its journey from cutting hair in a conservatory with barking dogs and side gate entry to its very own high street presence in the heart of Bushey Heath, and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

I’ve always tried to merge my interests in music, design and a vibrant atmosphere into my barbering and building a solid team was fundamental to this. So I hope you all feel welcome and enjoy your experience at Studio120.

For those who would like to get to know me a bit better my name is Jake and I’ve been cutting hair for about three days now… I mean three years. In 2019 I gained my level 2 and 3 qualifications in barbering from the London School of Barbering based in Farringdon. After completing this I was straight into the working environment, furthering my experience on all different hair types in a variety of shops based around London. I’ve been a part of the Studio120 team since day 1 of opening and have enjoyed further developing my experience in the industry, as well as building a solid client base in under a year that we’ve been open. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere in the studio, so don’t be afraid to check us out… unless you support Arsenal.

I have been cutting hair for around two years and have learned more than I ever have about barbering, at Studio120.

Since we opened in August 2021 I have progressed more than I thought I ever could, although you never stop learning. I started cutting hair at home, building a local client base and when George got in touch with me I thought it would be a great experience for me to widen my knowledge and also build my client base further.

My love of barbering came from going to the barbershop as a young lad myself, I loved the atmosphere. So being in a barbershop all-day meeting new faces, building relationships with clients doesn’t feel like work to me.
